CENTRAL COAST ZOO IS LOCATED ON THE GROUNDS OF AMAZEMENT FARM AND FUN PARK LOCATED IN WYONG CREEK ON THE CENTRAL COAST.

Amazement Farm & Fun Park

Amazement has been a part of the community in Wyong Creek since December 2008. Originally the land was used as a Christmas Tree farm and over the years it has evolved into the well known family destination it is today which includes a number of hedge mazes, outdoor games and play equipment, farm animals and a café.

Since Feb 2020 after the property was sold, it is now a family run business that has grown in leaps and strides ever since. With the addition of mechanical rides including the Maze Express and new species of native animals it was discovered that there was potential to expand and grow even further.

Central Coast Zoo

This was the start of the story of Central Coast Zoo.

Central Coast Zoo houses a collection of animals that are exotic to Australia. Here at Central Coast Zoo we want to provide an amazing home and level of care to our animals while educating our guests about our ambassador species and their wild counterparts through interactive experiences.

Check out our website to find out even more about us and the role we play in Conservation, Education and Connecting our guests with our extended animal family.

Central Coast Zoo is currently open only by appointment for specific encounters and experiences and cannot be wondered freely by guests. Guests of Central Coast Zoo have full access to Amazement Farm & Fun Park, its facilities, shows, games and animals.

Our Mission

HERE AT CENTRAL COAST ZOO WE AIM TO BE SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Central Coast Zoo strives to be an apex ambassador for wildlife conservation through interesting, informative, and immersive animal encounters and animal presentations.

By making wildlife conservation fun and exciting through touching, feeling, smelling and seeing animals’ close-up, we aim to inspire all people to want to help wildlife in their natural habitat.

Through these educational experiences with wildlife, Central Coast Zoo aims to inspire our guests to make small real world contributions to assist in conserving the environment both in their own backyard and around the world.

TO CONSERVE, TO EDUCATE, TO CONNECT

Our first goal is to help CONSERVE our natural surroundings, ecosystems and the animals that inhabit them including those that live at Central Coast Zoo. This is achieved through providing the very best home and care for our own animals, educational systems, breeding programs and soon we will join with other partners to increase our conservation efforts. We also live to be an example by initiating recycling programs and others methods of sustainable living at the zoo as the example to show others.

We aim to EDUCATE. The public are educated every time they attend a show, private encounter or even read a sign as well as by our keepers themselves and we want them to enjoy it. Conservation, sustainable living, animal knowledge and wild status are the goals of the education program.

Finally we want to CONNECT our guests with our animal family. By allowing people to form their own emotional bond and empathise with our ambassador species, strengthens our own goals of a successful education program which will result in a public who will want to actively help in the animals’ conservation and be proactive in sustainable living. It is harder for people to connect to something that they cannot see or feel. This is why we promote animal interaction to help create the connection.
